The heartbeat of our ministry is parent training. Our theme verse is Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” We believe the duty to train children lands squarely on the shoulders of parents, and our desire is to equip parents with the information and tools necessary to develop productive, independent children. Camp T.E.A.S.P.O.T. has been described as a “Timeout on Steroids.” It is a weekend meant to capture the heart and mind of a child who is perhaps not making the best decisions at school, home, or in their communities. While campers “endure” a weekend without many of the privileges afforded to them at home, at least one custodial parent attends 5 parent training sessions which will ensure success for your child when they return home. Camp is held the 3rd weekend of March, May, September, and November. It begins on a Friday evening and is usually just 24 hours, unless campers prove especially uncooperative and need to stay an additional night. The total cost for Camp T.E.A.S.P.O.T. is $200.00. A non-refundable deposit of $50 must be made by the Wednesday before camp to ensure a place for your child. Scholarships are often available. No child is turned away for lack of ability to pay. Would you like to sharpen the tools in your parenting toolbox? Do you fear that your child is headed down a dangerous path? Are you ready to do whatever it takes?
